Assessments at Circles are designed to evaluate key characteristics essential for success in a role while ensuring a fair and consistent experience for all candidates. Depending on the position, assessments may be required after the application process, with varying timeframes and numbers of assessments.
The main type is work sample simulations (case studies), where candidates complete tasks related to the job, such as decision-making or problem-solving. These assessments typically take between 30-60 minutes to complete and are designed to help determine whether candidates are equipped to succeed in the role.
In your interview, you'll be asked to discuss your past experiences, challenges, and how you handled them, using the STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers. Plan how you will talk about these experiences and have specific examples that showcase your go-getter spirit, demonstrating how you've taken risks, succeeded, failed, and grown in the process.
Keep in mind that failure is a necessary part of innovation—some of our most successful programs are rooted in failed projects. What matters most is what we learn from the effort. Since Circles is a data-driven and high performance company, it’s helpful to include metrics or data when relevant and reference recent situations whenever possible.
